Cannot connect to Live Messenger - I've tried everything

 

Quote   I can connect to windows live messenger for about 10-15 secs then it boots me with a IE "sorry for the inconvenience would you like to send a report" message. I have no error codes i have looked at nearly every post out there and have not found this same problem. Help me please!

I installed a web cam (Microsoft VX-3000). I also sent one to my daughter in Germany. I installed Windows Live Messenger and she did the same. She is able to connect, see and hear thru (ICQ) but I am unable to connect thru Messenger or ICQ. I can im thru ICQ.

In my contacts menu it says she is offline but she isn't. I know she is online because I can im her thru ICQ.

Why can't I see or hear on my end. No issues with im's thru ICQ. She was also using ICQ with no issues.

When we try and connect for a video call she gets video and audio (ICQ only) nothing thru Messenger. I get nothing at all.

Is it my install or hers?

Help, what are we doing wrong? My outgoing works (UDP?) but no incoming.
